Horrible Old Television

The antennae is actually a spacecraft drone that has been injecting and incubating restructured spam cultivated from mootilated cattle. It appears that the television was used to not only conceal the abomination but to help develop a neurological interface by absorbing indigenous data from aired programs of the device while monitoring the status of the observers. We should assume it likely relayed data to the mothership as well.
